Orthokeratology

Have you ever wished you could see clearly without glasses or contacts, but not interested in laser surgery?  We have the solution.  Diamond Bar Optometric Center is certified to fit specialty contact lenses that allow you to see clearly during the day without contact lenses or eyeglasses.  This procedure is called Orthokeratology.  Orthokeratology (OrthoK), sometimes called Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT) is the fitting of specially designed contact lenses that you wear overnight.  These special lenses gently reshape the front surface of your eye so that you can see clearly during the day without contact lenses or eyeglasses.  To maintain the best results it’s important to sleep with the lenses every night.

Ortho-K is a great treatment option if you want to be glasses or contact lens free.  The best candidates are those who have a mild to moderate prescription or would like to slow the progression of his or her near-sightedness.
