Natalie Lue Hoshi, OD FAAO
Dr. Natalie Hoshi received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in 2008. During her time at SCCO, she was involved with the Student Association Board as a director for school-wide events, functions and social activities. Her clinical rotations brought her to various sites: Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield CA, the Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Tucson AZ and the United States Naval Hospital in Yokosuka Japan.
Dr. Hoshi's certification and skills allow her to practice at the highest level of her profession. She is certified to treat and manage ocular disease such as dry eyes, red eyes, eye allergies, infections and glaucoma. Dr. Hoshi is trained to fit specialty contact lenses, ortho-keratology (sometimes called corneal refractive therapy) and vision therapy.
Dr. Hoshi loves working with children, which motivated her to pursue further specialization and training in pediatrics. She completed a residency in Pediatric and Infant Vision at State University of New York State, College of Optometry in 2009. Dr. Hoshi's specialized training enhanced her ability to diagnose and treat eye conditions commonly seen in children. She joined the Vision Therapy and Pediatric Vision Care faculty at the Eye Care Center at Southern California College of Optometry in 2012.
Dr. Hoshi is currently a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. She is also a member of the San Gabriel Valley Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the Asian American Optometric Society, and the California Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. Hoshi enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and twin boys.
Sutera Nudtavuthtisit, OD
Dr. Sutera Nudtavuthtisit or known to her patients as “Dr. Nudta” earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry, graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors. Her clinical training includes externships at the Salt Lake City VA Medical Center in Utah, the University Eye Care Center at Los Angeles and Fullerton locations, and Indian Health Services at Huhukam Memorial Hospital in Arizona. Dr. Nudta is trained and certified to practice at the highest level of her profession providing comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages.
She has a passion for community service, having volunteered at various local community vision screenings. Dr. Nudta volunteers at the annual Care Harbor Free Clinic in Los Angeles every year since 2011, providing vision care for those in need.
When not practicing optometry, Dr. Nudta enjoys spending time at the beach, looking for new places to eat in Southern CA or seeing the latest movie. Her hobbies include traveling, practicing her Thai cooking skills and reading.
She is excited to be part of Diamond Bar Optometric Center and looks forward to serving the Diamond Bar and neighboring communities.
Evelyn Wang, OD
Dr. Evelyn "Ev" Wang received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry and her Bachelor's Degree in Physiological Sciences at UCLA. During her time as a student, she worked with active service members and veterans at Walter Reed Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD and also co-managed surgical cases with ophthalmologists at New Eyes in Las Vegas, NV.
Upon graduation, Dr. Wang commissioned with the U.S. Air Force and served as a military optometrist for 4 years. Capt Wang served 2 years at Beale AFB, supporting the country's surveillance/reconnaissance mission, followed by 2 years at Vandenberg AFB, supporting space and missile operations. Other unique AF opportunities involved working with fighter pilots in North Carolina and a humanitarian deployment to Dangriga, Belize. With her active duty commitment fulfilled, Dr. Wang continues to serve in the Reserves at March ARB in Moreno Valley, while working alongside her brother in private practice in Whittier.
Though well-traveled and having been away from home, Dr. Wang is a SoCal native and couldn't be happier to be back in her hometown of Rowland Heights. In her free time, Dr. Wang enjoys naturesque getaways, getting lost at Disneyland, free AC at movie theaters, and chasing the latest food crazes.
Chris M. Zapper, OD
Dr. Zapper is the founder of Diamond Bar Optometric Center and has served the Diamond Bar community for over 35 years. He is currently traveling with his wife and continues to be supportive of Diamond Bar Optometric Center and serves as an inspirational mentor to Dr. Hoshi and Dr. Nudta.
Graduated with Honors Cum Laude from the Southern Calif. College of Optometry in 1976.

As a Private Pilot, Dr. Zapper has flown his private plane to countries north and south of the border to bring needed eye care and fly patients to the US for medical treatment.
